RateStudies was founded by Buddy Petty, a professional engineer with over 25 years of experience in the water and wastewater field.  Buddy has been directly involved with a variety of water and wastewater capital improvement projects as well as consulting with utilities about financing these projects. There is always a common question that arises with each project, and that is “How is this going to affect the rates?”  Over the years Buddy has developed a unique method to answer that question.  

Our rate studies are comprehensive, yet easy to understand and always focusing on the bottom line.  We examine the past five years of financial, operational and customer use data as a guide to project the next five years.  The result is a document that clearly shows the financial health of the utility and makes recommendations concerning rate adjustments if needed.
